Apple is expected to give the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus a serious upgrade over the current-generation iPhone 14, with a leaked CAD model suggesting that the new devices will inherit the Dynamic Island from the iPhone 14 Pro, replace the Lightning port with USB-C, feature slimmer bezels with a new design, and more.

According to reports, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be identical to one another in terms of design and feature set, with Apple expected to bring the Dynamic Island from the iPhone 14 Pro to all four iPhone 15 models this year, making the feature available for the first time not just on the Pro-series models.

Recently leaked CAD files suggest that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will adopt a new body design that features slightly rounded edges, similar to that expected to come with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

According to the leaks, the iPhone 15 Plus will be slightly taller and thicker than the iPhone 14 Plus, with the camera bump on the back of the devices expected to be thicker than the iPhone 14 series, although the devices are said to have slimmer bezels than on the predecessors, despite the difference is expected to be marginal.

Like all four iPhone 15 models, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are rumored to swap out the Lighting connector in favor of USB-C, although according to a rumor, Apple will likely throttle fast USB-C transfer speeds to the high-end ‌iPhone 15‌ Pro models and not the regular iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

Unlike the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, the 15 and 15 Plus will likely continue to feature two camera lenses on the rear rather than three, with ProMotion likely also remaining exclusive to the Pro-series.
