Apple adds ‘hashflag’ to tweets using #TakeNote hashtag on Twitter
Earlier today, Apple CEO Tim Cook took to Twitter to tease the imminent launch of new iPads, with a tweet appearing on Tuesday with the #TakeNote hashtag as Apple pulled the online Apple Store offline, which typically happens ahead of the announcement of new products.
Now, just over an hour after Cook’s tweet, Apple has added a custom ‘hashflag’ to tweets using the #TakeNote hashtag, showing a multi-colored Apple logo that matches the style of the video which Cook shared to tease the imminent launch, featuring doodles and sketches drawn using an Apple Pencil on iPad.
The tweet doesn’t share any details about the forthcoming new iPad models, but the video shows a user performing a pinch-to-zoom gesture on an iPad, although the exact model shown in the video is unclear.
