Apple boosting iPhone 14 Pro production due to strong demand, reports Kuo

Respected industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has claimed that Apple is asking suppliers to concentrate manufacturing efforts on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max production rather than the production of the regular iPhone 14 due to strong demand for the high-end handsets, with supplier Foxconn supposedly converting iPhone 14 production lines to iPhone 14 Pro lines to improve iPhone availability.

Kuo says in the coming weeks, he expects Apple component suppliers to see an increase in iPhone 14 Pro part orders as a result of the change in manufacturing efforts, which will represent around a 10% increase in the shipment forecast for iPhone 14 Pro models in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Apple announced the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max earlier this month, featuring an all-new Always-On display, the first-ever 48MP camera on iPhone, Crash Detection, Emergency SOS via satellite, and a new way to receive notifications and activities with the “Dynamic Island,” which replaces the notch found on previous iPhone models.
