Low Power Mode offers up to 36 hours battery life for Apple Watch Series 8 and up to 60 hours on Apple Watch Ultra

Apple has announced its long-anticipated Low Power Mode for Apple Watch, which the iPhone maker claims will offer owners of the Apple Watch Series 8 up to 36 hours of battery life on one single charge when the low power state is enabled, and up to 60 hours of battery life on the all-new rugged Apple Watch Ultra.
The new Low Power Mode temporarily disables and limits select sensors and features on the Apple Watch, including the Always-On Retina display, workout autostart, heart health notifications, and more to achieve the extended battery life.
Unlike Power Reserve mode on Apple Watch, which only shows users a clock when enabled, Low Power Mode allows for the wearable to continue to be used freely in the low power state, although the frequency of use will lower the duration of the low power state before the battery depletes and needs to be recharged.
The Low Power Mode will be introduced with watchOS 9, which will release on Monday, September 12.
Apple says that Low Power Mode will be compatable with the Apple Watch Series 4 and newer.
