How to add Apple Watch Activity rings to iPhone Lock Screen

Changes to the iPhone Lock Screen are arguably iOS 16’s biggest new feature, bringing personalisation options that allow users to change the look of the date and time with type styles and colour choices, add widgets to the Lock Screen to get information at a glance, such as upcoming calendar events, the weather and battery levels, relocated notifications, and more.

A new addition that will be of particular interest to Apple Watch users will be the two Fitness widgtes, which show the Apple Watch Activity rings on the iPhone Lock Screen, allowing you to quickly check your move, exercise, and stand progress throughout the day with just a glance.

Apple has two styles of Activity rings widgets to add to your Lock Screen. The first is a small ring widget that simply shows the progress of all three rings in one view. The second is a more in-depth widget that shows your move, exercise, and stand progress for the day, and how close you are to reaching your goals.
