Apple has updated the Apple Support app with a new price estimates feature that shows users an estimated cost for common device repairs, such as broken screens and battery services, allowing users to gauge the cost of a repair prior to visiting an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider.
With version 4.5 of the Apple Support app, users who tap the “Repairs & Physical Damage” button are presented with a list of common damages. These include cracked screens, liquid damage, damage to the back of the device and more. Selecting one of the damages, such as a cracked shows an estimated cost for an official repair by an authorized repair specialist, with a list of local locations and contact details.
The new update also includes enhancements and bug fixes plus translations for users in Ukraine.
