As rumors continue to speculate on Apple’s upcoming iPad mini redesign, a new report has claimed to share some new details on the upcoming device, codenamed J310, which is expected to launch before the end of the year.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple’s new iPad mini will feature an A15 chip, which will use the same 5-nanometer fabrication process as the A14 and is also expected to be used on the upcoming 2021 iPhone line, a magnetic Smart Connector for accessories such as the Magic Keyboard, and a USB-C port, similar to the iPad Pro and the latest iPad Air.
Leaker Jon Prosser shared renders last month allegedly showing what to expect from Apple’s next iPad mini, which will reportedly feature an all-screen display, similar to the iPad Air.
It is believed that the upcoming device will be offered in three colors, including black, silver, and gold, with 5G support.
Today’s new report from 9to5Mac also claims that Apple is working on a more powerful A15X version of the upcoming A15 chip, likely for use in the next iPad Pro.
