YouTubers get early hands-on with AirTag and purple iPhone 12

Apple has given several YouTubers including iJustine, Marques Brownlee, UrAvgConsumer, and Sam Sheffer an earlier hands on with the recently announced purple iPhone 12 and all-new AirTag item trackers.

Apple’s media embargo just lifted a couple of minutes ago, with videos giving us our first look at the new AirTag accessories, the AirTags themselves, and how the locating process works with Precision Finding in the Find My app.

Sold individually at $29 or in a pack of four for $99, AirTags will be available beginning Friday, April 30, using the recently launched Find My network. Apple says, “AirTag is a super-easy way to keep track of your stuff. Attach one to your keys, slip another in your backpack. And just like that, they’re on your radar in the Find My app, where you can also track down your Apple devices and keep up with friends and family.”

AirTag: Everything you need to know about Apple’s new $29 device

Apple surprised us all by announcing a purple-coloured iPhone at its event this week. The new iPhone works just as the current iPhone 12 series does, with 5G, a dual-camera system, Super Retina XDR display with the Ceramic Shield front cover, and more, just this time with a “stunning purple” which is color-matched to the precision-milled back glass.

AirTags and the new purple iPhone 12 will be available to order tomorrow ahead of deliveries the following Friday.
