Tim Cook speaking at United Nations Climate Ambition Summit this weekend

Apple CEO Tim Cook will deliver a speech alongside a lineup of speakers and guests this weekend at the United Nations Climate Ambition Summit, co-hosted by the United Nations, the United Kingdom, and France.

The summit brings together leaders “who are ready to make new commitments to tackle climate change and deliver on the Paris Agreement,” which notably the United States is not a member of. The Climate Ambition Summit will include speeches from co-hosts and partners – United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Apple announced this year that it plans to make its entire supply-chain 100% carbon neutral by 2030, after its own operations, including the stores, data centres and offices have been 100% carbon neutral since 2018.

Cook will likely include Apple’s 10 year plan during this speech, amongst other topics.

The Summit will be available to stream on the United Nations website.
