Apple gets FCC approval for MagSafe Duo Charger

Apple has received FCC approval in the United States for its MagSafe Duo Charger, which is slated to launch “soon.”

The MagSafe Duo Charger was announced in October alongside the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. The accessory will allow a user to simultaneously charge either their iPhone or AirPods Wireless Charging Case alongside an Apple Watch, on a mat which folds like a clamshell.

Apple received certification from Korea’s National Radio Research Agency (NRRA) last week to launch the accessory in the country, with Apple confirming the mat would be priced at $129, coming packaged with a USB-C to Lightning Cable, which Apple recommends is connected to a 20W USB-C Power Adapter.

It is currently unknown when Apple will release the charger, but rumors point to a launch before the year’s end.
