Apple launches iPhone 12 pre-approvals in UK, does not work with iPhone Upgrade Program

Apple has launched iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro pre-approvals in the UK, allowing customers who wish to opt for the monthly payment plan to check their eligibility for an interest-free loan ahead of pre-orders beginning on Friday.
Unlike in the US, Apple has not extended its pre-approvals to cover eligibility checks for the iPhone Upgrade Program, which still requires prospective customers to pre-order an iPhone online, and visit an Apple Store to enrol or re-enrol in the program.
Apple says, “Choose your preferred iPhone model and features, add trade-in if you want, and select monthly payments. Get approved for a no-intrest loan with Barclays by completing the online application now. Starting at 13:00 on 16.10, use the Apple Store app on your iPhone to complete your order.”
Pre-orders for the iPhone 12 begin on Friday, October 16, with availability beginning Friday, October 23. iPhone 12 mini will be available for pre-order on Friday, November 6, with availability beginning Friday, November 13.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 12 Pro begin on Friday, October 16, with availability beginning Friday, October 23, and pre-orders for iPhone 12 Pro Max will begin on Friday, November 6, with availability beginning Friday, November 13.
