Apple releases iOS 14.0.1 with bug fixes

Apple has today released iOS 14.0.1, bringing bug fixes to address several issues with last week’s main release of iOS 14.

Today’s new update fixes an issue that could cause default browser and mail settings to reset after restarting a device, addresses an issue that could prevent images from appearing in the News widget, and resolves an issue that could prevent sending email with some mail providers.

The update also addresses an issue that could prevent camera previews from displaying on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and fixes an issue that could prevent an iPhone from connecting to Wi-Fi networks.

Just over a week after its release, iOS 14 is already reportedly installed on over 25% of active iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, with Apple already seeding developer and public betas of iOS 14.2 to testers.

Apple has also released iPadOS 14.0.1, watchOS 7.0.1, macOS Catalina 10.15.7, and tvOS 14.0.1.
