Apple’s all-new iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will boast an iPad Pro-style design, featuring flat stainless steel edges, sharply rounded corners and flat sides, as well as a slimmer notch, according to a new report from Bloomberg.

The insight comes after The Apple Post released exclusive 2020 iPhone renders last week, offering what we believed to be the most accurate representation of the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, showcasing how the iPad Pro design could look on this year’s new iPhone models.

Apple is expected to release four new iPhone 12 models, including successors to the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max and two lower-end models to replace the iPhone 11. Bloomberg note “at least the two high-end devices” will have flat stainless steel edges instead of the current curved design, reminiscent of the ‌iPhone‌ 5 design.

This year’s successors to the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will be joined by two lower-end models to replace the iPhone 11. At least the two high-end devices will have flat stainless steel edges instead of the current curved design as well as more sharply rounded corners like the iPad Pro introduced in 2018. Reminiscent of the ‌iPhone‌ 5 design, the new handsets will have flat screens rather than the sloping edges on current models, said the people asking not to be identified because the plans aren’t public.

The wording of the report would suggest that Apple could keep the all-new iPad Pro-style design exclusive to the premium iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max models.
