Everything you need to know about Apple’s new Magic Keyboard…

Apple’s new Magic Keyboard is compatible with not just the latest 2020 iPad Pro models, Apple states it is backwards compatible with the 2018 iPad Pro models, the ‌iPad Pro‌ 12.9-inch (3rd generation) and the ‌iPad Pro‌ 11-inch (1st generation) and will include layouts for over 30 languages.

While the iPad Pro is available to order from today, the Magic Keyboard itself won’t be shipping until May – an official date is yet to be announced. When it does, it will be priced at $299 for the 11-inch version and $349 for the 12.9-inch version.

The built-in trackpad means iPad Pro is gaining the ability for a mouse curser. Apple software VP Craig Federighi demonstrated the new curser capabilities coming to iPadOS 13.4, showing how the pointer, which is a small circular shape, will only appear when you need it, and will dynamically change shape dependant on what it is hovering over.

As well as basic clicking and pointing, the Magic Keyboard allow users to perform some familiar gestures, although it won’t work exactly like the Mac.
