Apple pushing iOS 13.1 and iPadOS release forward to September 24

Apple has announced that iOS 13.1 and iPadOS will be released on September 24, a week earlier than originally planned.

Following the official public release of iOS 13 today, Apple has said it will launch its iOS 13.1 and iPadOS updates on Tuesday, September 24 to bring several new features for iPhone users including the ability to share an ETA in Apple Maps, tweaks to the volume HUD, new animated icons in the Home app, and Shortcuts Automations.

iPadOS will include the majority of features found as part of iOS 13, with the addition of new Home screen features, enhanced multitasking, new ways to use Apple Pencil and more.
