Apple Arcade officially launches, available now alongside iOS 13

Apple has officially launched Apple Arcade, its new pay-monthly subscription gaming service for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Apple TV, alongside the public release of iOS 13.
With a subscription to Apple Arcade for $4.99 per month, users get unlimited access to over 100 new, Apple Arcade-exclusive games, with new titles planned to be added to the service each month. At launch, Apple Arcade will offer games from LEGO Brawls, Sonic Racing, Pac-Man Party Royale, Frogger in Toy Town, Hot Lava, and more.
Reports have suggested Apple is ploughing more than $500 million into securing iOS-exclusivity agreements with developers, such as Cartoon Network, Lego, Disney, Konami and Sega, and to build new titles which will be available solely on Apple Arcade.
To use Apple Arcade, users must upgrade to iOS 13 to play on an iPhone or iPod touch. Apple notes that the release of iPadOS and tvOS 13 on Monday, September 30 will add the ability to use Apple Arcade on iPad and Apple TV, with support for the platform launching on Mac in October with macOS Catalina.
