Apple unveils design of Xinyi A13 Apple Store in Taipei

Apple has unveiled the design of its Xinyi A13 Apple Store in Taipei ahead of the official opening of the location on Saturday.

Construction hoarding which once wrapped around the building has been removed to unveil a beautiful curved freestanding glass and stone walled exterior, much like that found at Apple’s flagship Michigan Avenue store in Chicago, United States.

The store is spread over two floors, with the main level focused on retail, featuring sequoia wood tables and matching wooden shelves, with two marble staircases on either side of the store leading down to the basement which includes a large Today at Apple display for live in-store creative sessions, in-door trees, and more product displays.

Xinyi A13 is within 15 minutes’ walking distance of Apple’s first Taiwanese retail location at the Taipei 101 mall within the iconic skyscraper previously known as the Taipei World Financial Centre. The store opened in July 2017, and Apple has reportedly said the opening of the second store won’t interfere with the operation of Apple Taipei 101.

As shown in images shared by locals, the location features a large MacBook-shaped roof.

The store will officially open on June 15th at 10:00 A.M. local time.
