Apple has removed the cellular download limit restricting the download of content such as apps, games, videos and iTunes Store films, weighing over 200 MB whilst using a cellular data connection with iOS 13.
Spotted by 9to5Mac.com, when users come to update applications when running iOS 13, a new pop-up appears warning users before they download app updates while roaming, a precautionary measure to ensure app downloads don’t eat into a user’s data limit.
Apple only recently upped the cellular data limit from 150 MB to 200 MB.
Most modern device plans offer users a large amount of data usage. Allowing users to download content on the go, despite the size of the file, is a welcomed change, and one that no doubt will be greatly received when iOS 13 launches to the public later this year.
