Apple increases cellular download limit from 150 MB to 200 MB on iPhone
Apple has quietly increased the cellular download limit for iPhone and iPad, allowing users to download larger apps, games, videos, iTunes Store films, and more on the go.
The limit has increased from 150 MB to 200 MB, a small but welcomed increase.
iOS restricts users from downloading large items when using a cellular connection to prevent large chunks of a users’ data allowance from being used, though most modern plans come with large, or even unlimited data usage – turning the limiter into a hindrance more than a help.
Apple doesn’t give users the option to turn off the cellular download limit as of yet, so hopefully this will be one of the features arriving with iOS 13.
