Apple Store employees to wear new green uniform for Earth Day

Apple Store employees will be wearing a new green uniform to celebrate Earth Day, according to an informant who contacted The Apple Post on Thursday.

The new uniform includes a green short-sleeved t-shirt and a long-sleeved black jacket, both featuring a small stitched Apple logo on the chest. – The source notes that Apple Store employees will begin wearing the new uniform tomorrow (April 13th).

Earlier this week Apple announced that 100% of their global operations, including retail stores, offices, data centers, and more, are powered by 100% renewable energy. According to Apple, since 2011 their emphasis on the clean running of their global operations and projects has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 54% and helped stop close to 2.1 million metric tons of CO2e from entering the atmosphere.

Our informant notes that unlike previous occasions when employees have been issued promotional uniform, the company is asking that staff return their familiar blue/navy shirts for recycling, hinting that a new uniform will launch following Earth Day.
