Ahead of the release of the new Carpool Karaoke series scheduled to arrive on Apple Music next week, Apple has today shared a new “On the Road Again” commercial to promote the shows, featuring a whole host of celebrities including James Corden, Miley Cyrus, Queen Latifah, John Legend, and Alicia Keys.
Originally given the release date of April 2017, Apple announced back in May that their Carpool Karaoke spin-off would be delayed without giving an explanation as to why. – In July 2016, it was announced that Apple was the surprise buyer of the unscripted TV series, with the company planning to air the new series to their subscribers worldwide.
While the upcoming release of Carpool Karaoke shall follow the same principle of the previous episodes, British TV personality James Corden won’t be the only host of the show, with John Legend, Will Smith, Blake Shelton, Shaquille O’Neal and many more jumping in the hot seat. – Apple has licensed 16 episodes of the show, with episodes planned to be released on a weekly basis.
