Report claims construction work on Apple’s Fifth Avenue store is scheduled to finish no earlier than November 2018

According to a report from MacMagazine, construction work on Apple’s iconic Fifth Avenue retail store is scheduled to finish no earlier than November 2018. The report comes from signage posted around the construction site that points to 31st October 2018 as the date builders should of finished work on the site.

Back in April a report claimed that Beats 1 DJ Ebro Darden will host a number of live shows from the iconic Apple Store once completed, with shoppers able to watch Beats 1 being broadcasted live while browsing the store through a window looking into the recording studio.

The last time the Fifth Avenue store saw a major refurbishment was 2011 when the company added new, larger glass panels to the front of the cube, making for a more simplistic and seamless design.

It was previously suggested Apple was interested in expanding the Fifth Avenue location into “some or all” of the 61,000-square-foot FAO Schwarz space that it’s now temporarily using while construction work continues, however; it’s unclear if the rumours turned into negotiations and if Apple plans to utilise the neighbouring retail space permanently.
