There’s a Better Way to Find a Word on a Webpage on iPhone

If you are scrolling through a long webpage on iPhone trying to spot one specific word, Safari has a page search tool that is much faster than hunting manually.

Open the page in Safari, tap the Page Menu button, then choose Search Document. Enter the word or phrase you are looking for and Safari will jump directly to matches on the page.

You can move through each result using the next and previous controls, which is particularly useful on long support pages, product specifications, terms and conditions or articles with lots of text.

The feature works more like Command-F on a Mac than a normal web search. It looks only at the page you already have open, so it is useful when you know the information is somewhere in front of you but cannot remember where.

Because the option sits inside Safari’s page menu, it is easy to miss if you are used to searching from the address bar. Once you know where it is, it can save a surprising amount of scrolling.

For people who regularly read long webpages on iPhone, it is one of the simplest Safari shortcuts worth remembering.
