Apple has launched special-edition AirPods 5 in India for Diwali, giving its latest wireless earbuds a festive rangoli-inspired engraving on the charging case.
The limited model is based on AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case, with Apple placing a colorful rangoli-style design around a heart-eyes emoji on the front of the case. Apple lists the special-edition AirPods 5 as an India-exclusive festive release available while supplies last.
Apple has priced the special-edition AirPods 5 at ₹17,900 in India, including taxes. That is the same price as the standard AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case, meaning buyers are not paying a premium for the limited-edition engraving.
The engraving takes inspiration from rangoli, the decorative art traditionally created during festivals including Diwali using colorful patterns and designs. Apple is featuring the special edition prominently on its Indian online store as part of its seasonal Diwali campaign.
Beyond the artwork, the earbuds are the same AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case Apple introduced in September. They include Active Noise Cancellation, a force sensor with volume swipe, Live Translation and Siri AI, while the charging case supports USB-C, Qi wireless charging and Apple Watch chargers.
Apple says the Wireless Charging Case provides up to 22 hours of listening time with Active Noise Cancellation enabled. The fifth-generation earbuds also use the company’s redesigned acoustic architecture and next-generation Adaptive EQ.
The Apple Post covered the launch of AirPods 5 in September, when Apple introduced stronger noise cancellation, improved sound quality, Siri AI support and Live Translation across the new generation.
The special-edition AirPods 5 are available through Apple in India for ₹17,900 while supplies last. Apple marks the model as “Only at Apple,” with the regular AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case continuing to sell alongside it for the same price.
