Apple has launched new creative assets for the App Store, giving developers more ways to showcase their apps and games across product pages, search results and other areas of the store.
Announced in an Apple Developer update, the new image and video assets can be used in product page headers and search results to highlight an app’s brand, seasonal promotions, new content and other features.
The assets complement existing screenshots and app previews, expanding the visual material developers can use to market their apps across the App Store.
Apple has also introduced a new preview tool in App Store Connect that shows developers how creative assets, screenshots and other metadata will appear before they are submitted. The tool supports Dark Mode, different devices and orientations, allowing developers to check how their App Store presence will look across Apple’s platforms.
A new Asset Library in App Store Connect brings images, videos, screenshots and app previews together in one central location. Developers can upload and organize assets ahead of time, including submitting creative material for approval before a future seasonal campaign or product page update is ready to go live.
The changes also extend to Apple Ads, custom product pages and product page optimization, giving developers more opportunities to reuse approved creative assets across different parts of the App Store.
Apple says the new creative assets, Asset Library and product page preview tools are available now.
