Apple Music appears to be getting a new logo

Apple appears to be preparing to roll out a new logo for Apple Music, with the redesigned branding now appearing inside the company’s latest software betas.

The new Apple Music wordmark has been spotted in iOS 27.2 beta 3 and macOS 27.2 beta 3, providing the clearest indication yet that Apple intends to adopt it across the music streaming service.

The design uses a noticeably bolder typeface and lowercase styling, replacing the thinner Apple Music wordmark used previously.

The logo itself is not entirely new. Apple first used the design last month when it unveiled Apple Music Hall, its new live music venue at Battersea Power Station in London.

At the time, it was unclear whether the branding had been created specifically for the venue. Apple has since used the same design in Apple Music promotional material unrelated to the hall, and its appearance inside iOS and macOS now strongly suggests it is becoming the service’s official wordmark.

The change was spotted in the latest beta software by Aaron Perris and highlighted by MacRumors.

Apple has not formally announced an Apple Music rebrand or said when the new logo will be adopted everywhere.

Its inclusion in iOS 27.2 and macOS 27.2 suggests users could begin seeing the refreshed branding more widely when those software updates are released publicly.
