iOS 27 brings Siri and Visual Intelligence directly into the Camera app, allowing compatible iPhones to understand objects, text and information in front of the camera.
Siri mode can be used for practical tasks such as getting information about something you are looking at, reading details from a card, identifying information on a receipt or turning information from the real world into an action on your iPhone.
The feature is part of the newer Siri AI experience and requires a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone.
How to use Siri mode in Camera on iOS 27
- Open the Camera app on your compatible iPhone.
- Switch to Siri mode.
- Point the camera at the object, document or information you want Siri to analyze.
- Make sure the relevant content is clearly visible in the camera view.
- Tap the shutter button to let Siri see what is in front of you.
- Ask a question or choose one of the relevant actions Siri presents.
- Follow any additional onscreen instructions to complete the action.
