Apple has opened App Store submissions for apps and games built using the latest versions of its software development tools, allowing developers to begin submitting updates designed for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27 and visionOS 27.
The move comes following months of beta testing for iOS 27 and Apple’s other major software updates, giving developers the opportunity to prepare their apps for users ahead of the public release of Apple’s new operating systems.
Developers can now use the latest version of Xcode and the corresponding SDKs to build, test and submit apps taking advantage of the new APIs and capabilities introduced across Apple’s platforms.
For iPhone, iOS 27 introduces a range of new features and changes across the system, while iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27 and visionOS 27 bring their own platform-specific improvements for developers and users.
Opening submissions is an important final step ahead of Apple’s major annual software releases. It allows developers to have compatible updates reviewed by Apple and ready on the App Store as users begin upgrading their devices.
