Building an iPhone Shortcut no longer has to start with manually searching through a long list of actions. In iOS 27, Apple Intelligence can create a shortcut from a description of what you want it to do.
You can describe a routine in ordinary language, including actions that involve multiple apps, and Shortcuts can assemble the workflow for you. You can then review and edit the result before relying on it.
The feature requires a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled device and its availability can vary by language and region.
More specific descriptions generally make it easier for Shortcuts to understand the intended sequence of actions, particularly when several apps are involved.
