Concept creator Gunho Lee has shared an incredible new concept video imagining Apple’s official unveiling of the long-rumored iPhone Ultra, the first foldable iPhone, which is expected to be announced at Apple’s upcoming September 9 event.
The video caption describes the project as “a cinematic concept exploring what a foldable iPhone could look and feel like,” highlighting everything from a seamless 7.8-inch display and Touch ID interaction to the device’s internal hinge, battery, and chipset architecture.
The iPhone Ultra is rumored to feature a book-style folding design, with a smaller outer display for everyday use and a larger inner display that opens up for watching video, multitasking, gaming, browsing, and more immersive apps. Reports have suggested the device could include a titanium frame, an ultra-thin design, a near crease-free inner display, Touch ID built into the power button, and a premium price tag that could make it the most expensive iPhone Apple has ever released.
Lee’s concept does an impressive job of imagining how Apple could introduce the device, with a highly polished video that closely mimics the company’s product reveal style.
The iPhone Ultra shown in the video not only looks remarkably realistic, but the way it is used feels natural. As an actor goes through his day, the device is shown being taken out of a pocket, opened up, and unlocked with Touch ID.
The concept then shows the foldable iPhone being used to watch a film, run two apps side by side, and take a phone call, demonstrating how the larger internal display could make the device feel more like a small iPad when unfolded.

There is even a very Apple-like moment where the iPhone Ultra floats out of the actor’s hand, revealing an exploded view of the device’s internal components. The hinge detailing in particular is extremely convincing, helping sell the idea of what Apple’s first foldable iPhone could look like in real life.
