Apple is continuing to invest in its smart home ambitions, with Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reporting that the company is developing two additional home products beyond its upcoming smart home hub.
According to the report, Apple is working on a premium robotic smart home hub featuring a 9-inch display. While few details have been shared, the device is expected to sit above the standard smart home hub in Apple’s lineup and offer more advanced functionality.
Apple is also said to be developing a dedicated home security camera, expanding its HomeKit ecosystem into another category of connected home products. No launch timeframe or specifications have yet been revealed.
The two products are reportedly planned for release after Apple’s first smart home hub arrives, suggesting the company has a broader long-term strategy for the smart home market.
