Apple is reportedly preparing one of its biggest Mac refreshes in years, with plans to update nearly every Mac in its lineup over the next two years.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple has an extensive roadmap that includes new versions of the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio, and MacBook Neo, as well as future models featuring OLED displays.
The first wave of updates is expected to arrive this autumn, beginning with a refreshed entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by Apple’s next-generation M6 chip. Apple is also said to be preparing a new iMac, marking the desktop’s first update in around two years.
Further into the roadmap, Apple is reportedly planning redesigned high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models featuring OLED displays and, for the first time, touchscreen support. Those models are expected to launch between the end of 2026 and early 2027.
The MacBook Air is also expected to receive an update in early 2027, while Apple is reportedly working on refreshed versions of the Mac mini and Mac Studio. However, the timing of those machines may depend on memory supply, with demand for Apple’s more powerful desktop Macs continuing to outpace production.
Apple is also said to be planning a refreshed MacBook Neo, its budget-focused laptop powered by an A-series iPhone chip. According to the report, the updated model will feature the A19 Pro chip, additional memory, and new colour options.
Looking even further ahead, Apple is reportedly developing OLED versions of both the MacBook Air and iMac, suggesting the company intends to expand OLED technology across much of its Mac lineup over the coming years.
While Apple has not confirmed any of the reported plans, the roadmap suggests the company is preparing one of its most ambitious Mac release schedules to date, with updates expected to continue through at least 2028.
