Nike and Beats release special-edition Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds

Nike and Beats have officially launched a special-edition version of the Powerbeats Pro 2, designed specifically for workouts and athletes.

The new Nike x Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds feature secure-fit earhooks, built-in heart rate monitoring for workouts, Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, sweat and water resistance, and up to 45 hours of battery life when combined with the charging case.

Beats, which has been owned by Apple since 2014, has partnered with Nike to create a sport-focused version of its latest earbuds. The new model is styled in Volt and matte black, with the Beats “b” logo appearing on one earbud and the Nike Swoosh featured on the other for the first time.

Nike says the earbuds are designed to help athletes stay focused during workouts, with heart rate monitoring syncing directly with the Nike Run Club app. The earbuds also include five ear tip sizes to provide a more secure and comfortable fit.

The charging case features a Volt splatter pattern and includes Nike’s “Just Do It” slogan printed inside.

Nike and Beats are promoting the earbuds with a campaign featuring LeBron James, who said the Powerbeats Pro 2 are part of his daily routine for training, recovery, and everyday life.

The Nike x Powerbeats Pro 2 earbuds became available through an early-access lottery on SNKRS on March 17, before launching globally on March 20 through Nike, Apple, and select Apple Store locations.
