Apple joins 2026 London Marathon as official performance technology partner

Apple has been announced as an official partner of the 2026 TCS London Marathon, becoming the event’s Official Performance Technology Product Partner.

London Marathon Events confirmed the partnership on Monday, saying Apple’s health and fitness technologies will help support runners of all abilities as they train for and take part in the race. The 2026 TCS London Marathon is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 26.

The London Marathon remains one of the world’s most popular running events. Organizers say more than 1.13 million people applied to enter the ballot for the 2026 race, highlighting the scale and global appeal of the event.

Apple says its range of fitness tools and health features are designed to support runners throughout their training journey. Devices such as Apple Watch offer workout tracking, heart rate monitoring, and performance insights that can help runners stay motivated, measure progress, and better understand their health and fitness.

Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events, welcomed the partnership and said the two organizations share a similar goal of encouraging people to stay active.

“We are delighted to welcome Apple as an official partner of the TCS London Marathon,” Brasher said. “Inspiring activity across all ages and abilities is central to both of our missions, and this new partnership echoes our commitment to helping people lead healthier lives.”

Jay Blahnik, Apple’s vice president of Fitness Technologies, said the company is excited to support one of the world’s most recognized running events.

“The London Marathon is one of the world’s greatest sporting events and a powerful celebration of the global running community,” Blahnik said. “Apple’s technologies support runners at every level with powerful tools and insights that help them stay motivated, track their progress, and better understand their health and fitness. We couldn’t be more excited to be a partner of the 2026 TCS London Marathon.”
