Apple Creator Studio launch fuels speculation over new MacBook Pro models

Apple’s upcoming Apple Creator Studio subscription has sparked speculation that new MacBook Pro models could be unveiled around the same time.

Apple announced Apple Creator Studio last week, describing it as a new subscription that brings together professional creative apps across Mac, iPad and iPhone.

The bundle includes Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro, alongside premium features for Keynote, Pages, Numbers and Freeform.

Apple Creator Studio is set to launch on Wednesday, January 28.

The timing has led some observers to suggest Apple could pair the release with new Mac hardware, particularly updated MacBook Pro models.

Macworld has speculated that late January would be a logical window for Apple to introduce new professional Macs, given the focus of Creator Studio on high-end creative workflows.

Apple has previously used January press releases to announce new MacBook Pro models. In January 2023, the company unveiled its M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pro lineup without holding a launch event.

Apple’s next MacBook Pro refresh is expected to add  new M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.

That would build on the launch of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the base M5 chip, which Apple announced in October.
