Apple is adding paid tools and premium content to Keynote, Pages and Numbers for the first time, shifting its long-running productivity suite into a two-tier model.
The upgrades will sit behind Apple Creator Studio, the company’s new subscription bundle launching on January 28. Free versions of all three apps will remain available, but subscribers will unlock additional editing tools, templates and AI features.
A new Content Hub will offer access to a curated library of graphics, photos and illustrations that can be dropped directly into presentations, documents and spreadsheets.
Apple is also introducing generative image tools that can create visuals from text prompts, refine existing images and upscale photos — all using on-device models that keep user data private.
Keynote is getting the largest overhaul. Subscribers will be able to draft a full presentation automatically from a short text outline, generate presenter notes and clean up cluttered slides with a tap.
Numbers will add Magic Fill, a feature that scans data for patterns and automatically produces formulas or completes tables.
Pages will receive new themes and design options, alongside smarter formatting assistance.
The free versions of the apps will continue to support everyday editing across iPhone, iPad and Mac, and Apple says users can still collaborate without subscribing.
