Recently, I’ve been hooked on PowerWash Simulator, a game available on Apple Arcade, where you’re tasked with jet washing graffiti, grime, moss and mould as you build up your own cleaning business across jobs of varying complexity.
PowerWash Simulator is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro. Personally, I play on iPad, using my Apple Pencil to work through buildings, vehicles and playgrounds bit by bit.
The game is strangely satisfying. There’s no right or wrong and no time pressure, just you and the tools you need to get the job done.
As you progress, you can upgrade your equipment to a range of washers, nozzles, cleaners and extensions. Different dirt types have different levels of toughness, so you have to think about what you’re using and how you tackle each job.
One of the things I really like about the game being part of Apple Arcade is that once you’re in, that’s it. No ads popping up, no in-app purchases, no prompts to spend real-world money. You just play the game, unlock things as you go, and enjoy it at your own pace.
If you’ve got time to kill, I’d definitely recommend giving PowerWash Simulator a go. It’s not the kind of game that has you on the edge of your seat, full of adrenaline, but that’s exactly why it works.
