Apple has opened a new retail store in Beijing.
The Apple Beijing Huiju store opened on December 6 in the Daxing District, marking the company’s sixth retail location in the Chinese capital.
The store is located in one of Daxing’s largest residential areas, aimed at serving local communities in the southern part of the city.
Like other Apple retail locations, the store runs on 100% renewable energy and is carbon neutral.
It includes a dedicated Genius Bar and an Apple Pickup area, allowing customers to collect online orders and receive in-person support.
Apple said the store has been designed using sustainable materials, including wooden frames in place of metal fittings.
The layout follows Apple’s universal design principles, ensuring accessibility for all customers.
Since Apple opened its first store in China at Sanlitun in 2008, the company’s five existing Beijing locations have welcomed more than 150 million visitors.
“Connecting with our customers in China is very important to us,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and People.
She said Apple’s teams are focused on providing personalised support and helping customers explore the company’s latest products.
