Apple will release iOS 26.1 tomorrow, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who says the update will be followed shortly by the rollout of iOS 26.2 beta 1, expected as soon as Tuesday.
Writing in his Power On newsletter, Gurman said iOS 26.1 is set to launch on Monday, November 3, barring any “last-minute delays.”
The update introduces a new customization option for the Liquid Glass interface introduced with iOS 26, allowing users to reduce the effect’s transparency using a new ‘Tinted’ setting.
Other changes include the return of a classic ‘Slide to unlock’ gesture for snoozing alarms and a new toggle to disable Lock Screen camera access.
