Apple has announced Apple Watch Series 11 — its thinnest design yet — adding hypertension notifications, a new Sleep Score, longer battery life and 5G cellular. Pre-orders open today, with in-store availability from Friday, September 19.
Series 11 offers up to 24 hours of battery life and now supports fast charging — 15 minutes delivers around eight hours of use.
Aluminium models use Ion-X glass that Apple says is twice as scratch-resistant as before, thanks to an Apple-designed ceramic coating applied via physical vapour deposition. Titanium models continue to use a sapphire front crystal.
5G arrives on Apple Watch, promising faster downloads for music, podcasts and apps. A redesigned cellular antenna covers more bands and can engage two system antennas simultaneously to boost signal in weak-coverage areas.
Hypertension notifications analyse sensor data over 30-day periods to flag signs of chronic high blood pressure. Apple says the feature was trained on data from more than 100,000 participants and validated in a clinical study of over 2,000 people. Regulatory clearance is expected soon, with availability in over 150 regions this month.
A new Sleep Score helps users understand sleep quality with an at-a-glance rating and a breakdown of key factors, sitting alongside existing tools like sleep apnea notifications, ECG, Blood Oxygen, high/low heart rate and irregular rhythm alerts.
watchOS 26 adds Workout Buddy — a spoken, personalised coach powered by Apple Intelligence — plus a refreshed Workout app with easier access to Workout Views, custom workouts, Pacer and Race Route. Users can also auto-start music or podcasts with workouts.
Day-to-day use gets simpler with on-device Siri, the new wrist-flick gesture to dismiss notifications, Smart Stack hints and new watch faces.
Apple Watch Series 11 comes in aluminium — space grey (new), jet black, rose gold and silver — and in polished titanium in natural, gold and slate. This autumn’s band lineup adds new colours (including forest, neon yellow, anchor blue and purple fog). Nike bands get fresh colours and a reflective Nike Sport Loop; Hermès adds the Faubourg Party knit and a new Grand H link band.
