Tim Cook prays for former president Donald Trump’s recovery following attempted assassination at rally

Apple CEO Tim Cook has said his thoughts are with former president Donald Trump following an attempted assassination at a rally in Pennsylvania where Trump was shot in the upper part of his right ear, leaving an audience member in attendance dead and one other in a critical condition.
In a post on X, formally known as Twitter, Cook said “I pray for President Trump’s rapid recovery. My thoughts are with him, the other victims and the Trump family. I strongly condemn this violence.”
Donald Trump has issued a statement after the shooting in the post on his social media site, Truth Social, in which he extended his thanks to the Secret Service and law enforcement for their “rapid response”. “Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured.”
