iPhone 16 Pro to feature thinner bezels, report claims

Warning, this may sound like a ‘Breaking News, Water is Wet’ type of story: a new report from The Elec claims that the iPhone 16 Pro will feature thinner bezels than previous models, offering users an increase in screen size from previous iPhone models.

As reported by MacRumors, the site claims that manufacturers will use new Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology when manufacturing the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max to achieve slimmer bezels around the screen without compromising performance or device design.

Border Reduction Structure technology involves compact circuitry layout, advanced manufacturing techniques, and supplier diversification, particularly focusing on optimizing the placement of Display Driver ICs (DDIs) while ensuring quality control and cost-effectiveness.

Though it’s early for iPhone 16 rumors, reports suggest the new device might include larger displays, upgraded camera systems, and Wi-Fi 7 capabilities. Additionally, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are slated to gain a new Capture button on the side of the device, offering users access to camera controls whenever it is pressed.
