Apple Vision Pro launching in China ‘as early as April [but] no later than May,’ report claims

Apple’s international expansion of Apple Vision Pro could see the wearable launch in China “as early as April [but] no later than May,” according to a report which suggests that the device may need to be renamed to comply with an existing Chinese trademark for the “Vision Pro.”

While the latter could be resolved by Apple acquiring the trademark, the report claims that “the registration process of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is nearing completion,” which would give Apple the correct regulatory approval to sell the device in China.

As reported by IT Home citing Wall Street News, Apple Vision Pro could launch in China “as early as April [but] no later than May,” with the site saying that supply “will be tight,” although no further information was shared.

Apple introduced Apple Vision Pro last year, made from a single piece of three-dimensionally shaped laminated glass with an aluminum alloy frame that contours to the user’s face, the device boasts an array of advanced cameras and sensors. These components collaborate to deliver an immersive mixed-reality experience, enhanced by speakers strategically positioned near the user’s ears to provide Spatial Audio, resulting in lifelike three-dimensional environments.

Apple Vision Pro is currently available only in the US.
