According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple could launch its mixed-reality Apple Vision Pro headset on an international scale prior to WWDC24, typically scheduled for June. Pre-orders for the Apple Vision Pro have commenced in the United States, with deliveries beginning today, and in-store pickup options now offered as well.
In a Medium post, Kuo reports that Apple intends to divulge further details about visionOS, the operating system propelling the headset, during WWDC24 for global developers. Kuo explained that the delayed international release of Vision Pro is attributed to factors such as limited initial supply, the priority of ensuring a smooth sales process in the U.S., and the necessary time to adapt algorithms to comply with various countries’ regulations.
Kuo anticipates that once these challenges are addressed, Apple is likely to extend the availability of the Apple Vision Pro beyond the U.S. borders before the WWDC24 event. He emphasized that the prompt resolution of the mentioned issues will expedite the global release of Vision Pro.
