Apple Vision Pro try-on appointments available beginning February 2

Apple Store locations in the US will begin offering Apple Vision Pro try-on appointments from February 2, allowing prospective customers to go through a one-on-one in-store demo of the all-new mixed-reality headset.

Apple announced on Monday that Apple Vision Pro will be available for pre-order in the US on January 19, with in-store availability beginning on February 2.

In an email sent to those on the Apple Vision Pro waiting list in the US, Apple says “Be one of the first to get a demo of Apple Vision Pro. Only at the Apple Store. Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, we invite you to sign up for a demo of Apple Vision Pro at your local Apple Store. Demo times will be available Friday through the weekend on a first-come, first-served basis. We can’t wait to see you there.”

Apple unveiled its new $3,499 Apple Vision Pro headset last year, made from a singular piece of three-dimensionally formed laminated glass with an aluminum alloy frame that curves to wrap a user’s face. The device features an array of advanced cameras and sensors that work together to enable the mixed-reality experience, and speakers are positioned close to a users ears to deliver Spatial Audio to create life-like three-dimensional environments.

The new Apple Vision Pro headset runs a software called visionOS, which is heavily inspired by macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. visionOS features a brand-new three-dimensional interface controlled by a person’s eyes, hands, and voice. Users can browse through apps by simply looking at them, tapping their fingers to select, flicking their wrist to scroll, or using voice to dictate.
