Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has been hospitalized during a visit to Mexico City after suffering a ‘minor stroke.’
Wozniak, who founded Apple with Steve Jobs in 1976, reportedly felt vertigo and dizziness last week whilst in Mexico City to speak at a business conference. The Apple co-founder was taken to hospital, where he was assessed and treated under medical care.
Speaking to The New York Times, Wozniak said in an interview, that the hospital has now released him and he was “doing good.”
Steve Wozniak, also known as “Woz,” played a key role in the development of the Apple I and Apple II computers in the 1970s. After leaving Apple in 1985, Wozniak has been involved in various technology and philanthropic pursuits.
Wozniak, 73, flew back home to Los Gatos, California a day after he was treated in hospital. He said that the worst part of the experience was ‘the hospital required him to stay on a gurney for 24 hours and wouldn’t let him roll onto his side.’
