Apple ends seven day Apple TV+ free trial offer in the UK

Apple has ended its seven day Apple TV+ free trial offer in the UK and South Africa, which allowed new subscribers to explore the service and watch the range of Apple TV+ original movies and TV shows for free for one week without charge.

The offer, which has now been removed from Apple’s website in the two countries, had been available since the service first launched in 2019, with new subscribers now having to pay immediately to start a subscription, opposed to having any free time to trial the service before fully joining.

Despite the change, other Apple TV+ promotions remain available, including the three month free trial of the service with the purchase of an eligible iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac, and the 30-day free trial included with the Apple One subscription bundle.

The seven day Apple TV+ free trial remains active in all other countries where the service is available, although it isn’t clear weather Apple plans to end the promotion fully globally, as Netflix did in late 2020 when it ended its 30-day free trial window to new subscribers.
