Swift Student Challenge winners receive special WWDC23 swag, including free AirPods Pro

Lucky winners of this year’s WWDC23 Swift Student Challenge have started to receive congratulatory swag packs from Apple, including WWDC branded outerwear, AirPods Pro, a customized pin set, and one year of membership in the Apple Developer Program.

Pictures shared on social media show developers unboxing their special WWDC23 gift boxes, which include a special message from Apple congratulating them on their win.

The annual Swift Student Challenge requires participants to create a Swift Playgrounds app project on a topic of their choice for a chance to win.

Developer Joe Naveau shared images of their WWDC23 swag pack on Twitter, showing the contents of the gift box, as well as the full congratulatory message from Apple which reads, “Congratulations! You took it to a whole new level. You’re a confirmed WWDC2023 Swift Student Challenge Winner. The app playground you created demonstrates your commitment to great coding and ideation, which are values we champion at Apple. That’s why we’re excited to present you with this year’s exclusive, well-earned reward. We admire your passion and use of Apple technologies, and we can’t wait to see how you’ll continue to code new worlds.”

WWDC will take place from June 5 through June 9, with the main keynote taking place at the beginning of the week on Monday, June 5, which is when the iPhone maker is expected to announce iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, and macOS 14.
