Apple redesigns first-ever Apple Store

Apple’s first-ever Apple Store in the Tysons Corner shopping mall in Fairfax, Virginia has reopened today following a relocation and full redesign.

The new Tysons Corner Apple Store is located a stone’s throw away from the original Apple Store that opened in 2001.

Open now, Apple Tysons Corner has been fully redesigned to bring it in line with all other modern-day Apple Stores, featuring Apple’s iconic display tables and avenues with the latest iPhone, Mac, iPad, AirPods, Apple Watch, and Apple TV lineups, a new Today at Apple display, and more.

The store features new and exclusive design elements, including the new first Genius Bar since 2015 and a special Apple Watch Studio, where customers can mix and match Apple Watch cases and bands.

Apple’s original Tysons Corner store was opened by Steve Jobs on May 15, 2001. Apple’s VP of Retail Deirdre O’Brien attended the store’s grand opening today, but CEO Tim Cook was not spotted.
