15-inch MacBook Air to be announced at WWDC23, says Gurman

Apple’s long-rumored new 15-inch MacBook Air is slated to be announced at WWDC23 in June, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.

In the latest edition of his weekly Power On newsletter, Gurman says that Apple will take to the stage in June to announce its larger 15-inch MacBook Air alongside unveiling iOS 17, iPadOS 17, watchOS 10, and macOS 14, with the new machine expected to feature the existing M2 chip found on the smaller 13.6-inch model.

The design of the new 15-inch MacBook Air isn’t expected to dramatically change compared to the current 13.6-inch model that Apple announced last year, featuring a Liquid Retina display, 1080p HD camera, MagSafe charging, and more in four new finishes — midnight, starlight, silver, and space gray.

Gurman has previously claimed that Apple is working on three new MacBooks: the all-new 15-inch MacBook Air, an updated 13-inch MacBook Air and a refreshed 13-inch MacBook Pro. It is yet to be seen whether the latter two models are also announced at WWDC23 in June.
